Transfer Pricinig Regulations in Israel
On Sunday November 12 we hosted a conference on the new
Transfer Pricing Regulations in Israel, and the Dutch
Tax Reform slated for 2007.
The 2003 comprehensive tax reform in Israel included
first-time transfer pricing provisions that were subject
to the issuance of detailed regulations. Following
nearly four years of negotiations, the Knesset Finance
Committee has approved final regulations paving the way
for enforcement. Lectures on this important topic will
be given by Eli Piterman, a tax partner at KPMG Somekh
Chaikin and Dr. David Ravia, senior manager in charge of
transfer pricing at the firm.
The Netherlands has always been a key country in the
international tax planning of Israeli groups due to its
historic preferential tax regime for foreign resident
companies looking for a bridge into Europe and
elsewhere. In light of increased competition with other
jurisdictions and continuing efforts by the European
Union to “level the playing field” in the tax area, the
Netherlands proposed a major reform to take effect from
2007. We were pleased to welcome Jan Willem Lubbers and
Arco Verhulst, international tax partners at KPMG
Meijburg & Co in the Netherlands.
