Conversion to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) has
posed significant challenges for companies worldwide. To assess the
effect of those challenges, KPMG sought the views of 47 insurers in a
survey conducted in 2006. The survey aimed to determine the impact of
conversion on accounting issues, financial reporting risks, and
resourcing as well as to identify areas for post-IFRS implementation
improvement for insurers. |
